THE STANDARDAPPLIES TO EVERY LISTING

What we let
on the shelf.

Most marketplaces publish rules nobody reads because nothing enforces them. These are the questions every Botvent listing has to answer before a buyer sees it.

01

What belongs

A submission must solve, or materially help solve, a recognisable problem. Software, automations, scripts, agents, integrations, digital products, implementation services, consulting and concierge services are all eligible.

02

The listing standard

Every listing must clearly state:

  • The problem it solves and who it is for
  • What the buyer actually receives
  • Required software, accounts, skills and recurring costs
  • Setup expectations and known limitations
  • Whether it is still maintained
  • Whether claims are demonstrated, creator-reported, or verified by a customer
03

Promotion and links

Creators may link to a primary website, relevant product pages, demonstrations, documentation and professional profiles. Duplicate pages, keyword-stuffed submissions, irrelevant links and disguised sponsorships are prohibited.

04

Trust

  • Sponsorships and paid placement must be labelled
  • Reviews must come from genuine users or customers
  • Verification indicates what Botvent checked. It is not a guarantee of business results
  • Creators must disclose material data access, credentials, automated actions and ongoing costs
  • Unsafe, deceptive, infringing or credential-harvesting submissions are removed
05

Quality over volume

Botvent is not a raw-file dump. Repackaged bundles, trivial variations, abandoned builds and copied work may be rejected even when technically functional.

06

Curated listings

Some listings are written up by Botvent from work the creator published publicly elsewhere. These are labelled on the page, link back to the original, and are not endorsements. The creator has not applied, has not agreed to be hired, and is never presented as available for work until they claim the profile themselves.
