Botvent collects the minimum it needs to run a marketplace: your vent, your listing, and the clicks that tell us what works. We don't sell any of it.
01
What we collect
Vents: the problem you describe, plus anything you optionally add — your industry, budget, name and email
Creator accounts: your email, display name, profile information and the builds you publish
Claim requests: your name, email, a proof URL and any note you add when requesting a profile
Outbound clicks: which external links on the site you click. Every outbound action link goes through Botvent so we can count it — the click itself is recorded, then you leave the site
Listing page views: how many times a listing page is opened. Counted against a one-way fingerprint of your browser and connection that cannot be reversed into an IP address, so the same visitor counts once per listing per day — it is a tally, not a record of you
02
Why we use it
We use this information to run the marketplace: to match vents to creators, to keep creator profiles and builds up to date, to review claims and submissions, and to understand which listings people actually engage with.
03
Who sees it
We do not sell your data and we do not show ads. Your vent and the contact details you choose to include are visible to Botvent's operator so a real person can contact you about your vent when there's someone who can help. Buyers reach creators through the creator's own external links — Botvent does not hand your contact details to creators. Claim details are reviewed by the operator before a profile is handed over.
04
Signing in
Creator accounts and the admin area use Supabase for authentication (email one-time passwords, Google and GitHub). Supabase sets a session cookie and stores your account details on their servers; their privacy policy applies to that part. We store the email that identifies your creator profile.
05
Retention
We keep vents, inquiries and listings while the marketplace runs so that conversations and records remain coherent. Public listings and profiles remain visible until removed. You can ask us to delete or correct your personal information at any time.
06
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email oneshotfilm@gmail.com and we will act on the request. We will not delete records we are legally required to keep.
07
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update it here. The version published on this page is always the current one.
